EUROPEAN IDENTITY

To introduce the main theme of this year's project we watched the French film L'Auberge Espagnole (The Spanish Apartment) by Cédric Klapisch. The story is a funny tale of friendship and love: it presents Erasmus students coming from all over Europe and gathered all together under the same roof in Barcelona. Below you can watch one of the most significant scenes.

Our Project

We want to gather information and create an attitude that can lead towards breaking down cultural prejudices and building European awareness and citizenship. Teachers and students will cooperate in creating common issues. During the first year - BREAKING DOWN WALLS - the students and teachers will conduct researches about their own cultural identities and the identities of other local social groups.
The results of the researchers will be the basis for discussions, on-line conferences, visits, debates and workshops before and during the exchange weeks.
In the second year the activities will be focused on BUILDING BRIDGES: we want to overcome blockades due to lack of information of the cultural background of the partners and adopt a European Identity and citizenship. That will enable students to see differences as a source of cultural, social and emotional enrichment.
Every partner has to get to know each other’s school culture and school organisation and to learn from each other’s strong points so that the result is more than the sum of the parts.
